Weekly Natalie - Week 145

Maybe it's because I'm very pregnant and very emotional, or maybe because she's becoming a big sister in a few short weeks, but she looks so gigantic in this picture. A gigantic baby-faced munchkin. Who I love so, so much.

Weekly Natalie - Week 144

Natalie's latest favorite thing is for me to take a video of her and for her to watch it afterward. She calls the 'Natalie video' a 'show'. As in, "Yet's watch da show, Momma!"

Weekly Natalie - Week 143

We've had some amazingly top-notch weather here recently, so I took full advantage of it by visiting lots of parks. Being 8 months pregnant doesn't allow me to be the most fun park buddy, but Nat didn't seem to mind. Let's hope this trend continues!

Weekly Natalie - Weeks 140 & 141

These were some seriously action-packed two weeks. Natalie has discovered the fabulous-ness of her big girl bed and one of my very best friends got married last weekend - so I had ample opportunities for pictures.

Yikes. Between houseguests, pregnancy brain, and just general exhaustion, I have been sorely slacking in my picture-taking and blog-posting. Here are two pictures from the past month to prove that we still exist.

Man. You know you've had a slow week when the only pictures you take are of your silly kid eating a BBQ sandwich.

I seriously have the most amazing husband ever. He humored his five-months-pregnant wife and drove her and the munchkin 3 hours just for beignets. I doubt many people voluntarily go to New Orleans in the dead of summer (in case you haven't been there in July, it feels not unlike jumping into a fire pit.) But I've been dying for a beignet (they're the closest thing I've had to a craving this entire pregnancy). So last Saturday we took a quick day trip over to the Big Easy. We didn't do too much touristy stuff - it was too hot and too crowded, but we did make it to Cafe du Monde. Twice. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Weekly Natalie - Weeks 130 & 131

What a fun couple of weeks. A good friend and her cute family came down to FL for vacation and I got to hang with them for a bit. Nat was highly amused (and highly concerned) over my friend's husband's bald head. She was insistent that he had left his hair in her room and proceeded to spend a good amount of time looking for it. It was awesome.

Weekly Natalie - Week 129

Weekly Natalie - Weeks 127 & 128

It's impressive that I've taken ANY pictures these last two weeks. Natalie had her first full-blown stomach bug and it brought poor Team Smith to its knees. Thankfully Lee and I didn't get the bug, but it was still r-o-u-g-h. Our spawn does NOT handle being sick well.

Once Nat started feeling better, Lee put her to work. He asked her to help him with a 'project' (ie: putting the cover back on the AC). You'd have thought he asked Nat if she wanted a big bag of cookies. She was so excited. She was the official flashlight holder :)
