Weekly Natalie - Week 144

Natalie's latest favorite thing is for me to take a video of her and for her to watch it afterward. She calls the 'Natalie video' a 'show'. As in, "Yet's watch da show, Momma!"

In case you're having a hard time understanding her, here's what she's saying: Scuffy was sad. He [something, something] loud things. My arm. The teddy bear came into the storm. And one day, they catched the polka-dot tie with the man with the hair with the boy's hair. With the bathtub. With the water things. And, uh, and the end!

Weekly Natalie - Week 119

On Tuesday, I took Nat to see Disney on Ice (though if you asked Natalie, she'd tell you it was called "Mickey on Roller Skates"). I really liked it; Nat gave it a solid 'eh'. She gets really panicky around loud noises and the Civic Center was a pile of loud noises. Loud Disney noises, mind you, but loud noises nonetheless.

Weekly Natalie - Week 117

I didn't take any pictures this week, but I DID snag a video of Nat doing her ABCs (minus the N, of course) and counting. I love that kid.

(Oh, and if you were wondering, those are, in fact, tutus [5, to be exact] she has around her neck. She's such a fashion pioneer.)

Splish Splash

I was reading an article on fun activities I can do with Natalie that don't cost anything (I'm all about free fun). One of the suggestions was to fill the high chair tray with water and let the baby splash around. I figured that since Natalie likes the rain (but still hates baths with an incredible, fiery passion), I was hoping that she'd like splashing around just as long as she's not sitting in it ... because maybe that's the problem??

Thankfully it was a success! She loved splashing ... and as you can see from the video, Lee was more than happy to 'help' her splash.

Bouncing Baby Girl

Natalie's Jumperoo has been the source of much amusement in the Smith house. Lee and I could watch her for hours (except that she gets tired of it after 10 minutes or so). She get so excited when she's able to make the animals 'sing'.

It's times like these that make up for the month-long whine-fest that she's been going through.

First Giggles!

It's a good thing I love my friend Amanda so much ... or otherwise I'd be bummed that Natalie's first laughs weren't directed toward me or Lee. Natalie has very good taste though - Amanda is pretty funny.

Weekly Natalie - Week 9
