Weekly Natalie - Week 43 (a day late)

What is my deal with missing Thursdays? I could have sworn that yesterday was Wednesday. Maybe I should invest in one of those calendar thingees. I hear they're quite popular.

One of my good friends and I took our munchkins to a pumpkin patch last week. And by 'pumpkin patch' I mean 'pumpkin church-parking-lot', but whatever. Don't judge.

I realized that this was Natalie's first time crawling around on grass. It's not that I've actively tried to keep her from grass, I just never gave it much thought. That, and I'm worried about her eating a worm (or worse). Suffice to say, she wasn't really digging my whole 'sit-there-in-the-midst-of-the-pumpkins-and-look-cute". There were far too many things going on (namely the cars zooming by on 9th Avenue) for her to pay much attention to me.

Her famous 'thinkin tongue'
Pumpkins! Yay!
What's the deal with those pumpkins that look like they have leprosy?

"Um, excuse me, Natalie? Yeah, I wasn't done taking your picture"
Totally fascinated by the grass

I'll have some FABULOUS pictures to post tomorrow. Natalie has 3 (yes, 3) Halloween costumes. I bought her one, and the other two were given to us by friends. Can't wait!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Happy birthday to my ultra-fabulous mom! I won't say how old she is, but I will say that she's been 24 for a few years ...

I <3 Rae Leytham

It's no secret that I'm immensely fond of Rae Leytham and her amazing talent. She and her husband photographed Lee's and my wedding back in 2006 and the four of us have been friends since. I was so tickled when I was able to get Natalie into the studio for some pictures. And I was even more tickled with the results.

I mean, seriously. The cuteness level in this post is quite obscene. I apologize in advance if you feel the urge to run out and buy yourself a tutu. Blame Rae, not me.

The eyes on that frog make me think of the
pair of eyes from the Geico commercial.
Showing off her two teeth in the dress Nana gave her
Me and my Nataroo.
Oh how I love this little girl.
The yellow container I'm holding has Cheerios in it.
Bribing her with Cheerios was the only way I was able
to get her to cooperate in most of the shots.
She loves her some Puffs!
Be still my heart.
How can one little girl hold so much cuteness?!

Weekly Natalie - Week 42

Lee was out of town this past weekend, so I got to spend some extra-quality time with my Nataroo. It was chilly (hence her cute red nose) and she was loving the swings!

Black-and-white angel face

Swinging Scruncher Bear!
My silly goose

Can you say "terrifying"?! She's not coordinated quite yet
to go more than 1 or 2 steps with the walker, but it's coming.
Oh yes, it's coming.
Ahh, that's more like it

She's got sock problems.
I have yet to find a sock that will stay on her foot.
Pretty smiler
Rawr!!

Droopy pants AND sock problems. This poor kid.

There's that Thinkin' Tongue of hers again
Wonder what she's doing? She's using her tongue to push
the button that turns on the music for this toy.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is my wonderful dad's birthday. I won't say how old he is ... but I will say that his age rhymes with mixty-bive

Weekly Natalie - Week 41

Man, this is one funny kid. It seems like her personality exploded when she hit the 9 month mark. Lee and I are having the best time with her.

She's the coolest kid
That's the look I get when I see cinnamon rolls ...

The kid who hates baths likes splashing?
Someone please explain that to me.

So excited!
Next time, I'll put soap and water in the tray
and let her splash herself clean.

Ha!
Would rather splash than pay attention to the camera
